Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. We loved everything about our stay! There might be more luxurious accommodations in Mindo, but I wouldn’t dream of staying somewhere else if we return in the future. Everything was so clean, quiet, and beautiful. It felt like we had the place to ourselves! One huge plus is that you really don’t need a birding tour if you stay here, we saw so many beautiful tropical birds and even had a few coatis scurry in front of our cabin. Staff was always helpful and going above and beyond, and the breakfast truly is exceptional.
