Loved the historic building right next to the castle, the timbered top rooms with claw foot bath & shower. Fantastic staff, friendly & helpful. Delicious dinner menu & buffet style full breakfast. Enjoyed it so much we went back for a second night!

Plenty of staff, all very busy and very friendly, adding hugely to a comfortable stay. The small room I had was very comfortable, the breakfast of high quality and made to order. There is a nook in the car park for motorcycles and the swimming pool was a great plus. What more can you ask for?

I went passed this hotel 10 years ago visiting Hereford and was interested in the outlook of the building but it was rather rundown as a hotel so decided not to stay. Knowing the hotel had a refurbishment recently so stayed for a night as needed to attend a workshop following morning, very pleased with the stay in this charming old fashioned hotel. Room was cosy and warm, staff polite, and my request to have a quiet room was noted.
