The location is convenient as it is attached to Aomori train station (which was very helpful as I did not get wet in the rain/snow!), with nearby department store, shops and restaurants. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations, aesthetically it was beautiful, spacious and a delightful place to stay. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help me (including via a translator app when needed). The breakfast was amazing, one of my favourite I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel amenities such as the onsen and the lounge with free evening beverages were a treat. If you get a chance to book dinner (need 24 hours notice) it will not disappoint!

Featuring a hot tub, 1日1組の宿 OTTABIO（オタービオ） is set in Hirosaki. Guests can benefit from a balcony and an outdoor fireplace. A unique stay in the area. The house decor and atmosphere was a lovely space to be for a few days. We also received a free day pass to the little local ski field just behind the house which we really enjoyed. The additional touches left by the host were great too - local jam, apple juice, face masks and coffee.

Featuring views of Hakkoda Mountains and Mutsu Bay, ART HOTEL Aomori is located a 3-minute walk from Shinmachi 2-chome Bus Stop where airport shuttle stops. Clean and comfortable. Particularly good value for the price.

Set in Aomori within 5.8 km of Sannai-Maruyama site and 43 km of Tsuta Hot Spring, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Aomori offers rooms with free WiFi. Probably the best room I was in Japan. Bathroom was big even by western standards. The hotel is fully new with direct access to a Lawson. Location is perfect, just 2mins walking to the JR Aomori station. Price was quite cheap.

A 15-minute walk from JR Aomori Train Station, Richmond Hotel Aomori features rooms with VOD channels and free Wi-Fi. The room was quite large for japan standards, the breakfast buffet was excellent ave close to the A factory. Food nearby as well.

The room is amazing with every detail covered. The staff are friendly, professional and willing to help with any queries. The onsen area is spectacular, way beyond expectations. It’s a few minutes walk from the castle with a few eateries within walking distance.
