Situated next to Marimba Park, this modern hotel offers free Wi-Fi, free private parking and a small gym. Great location near Parque de la Marimba, where you can enjoy beautiful live marimba music played by a full orchestra—it’s a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean, and there’s a small but well-equipped gym with a treadmill, bike, elliptical, and some dumbbells. Breakfast is nice, though I wish they had ketchup! Secure parking is available. The security guard was especially helpful, friendly, and spoke English. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk didn’t speak English, but she was still very kind and welcoming. Overall, a great stay.

Jasmin and Sebastian were lovely hosts and made our stay at Casa Cactus in Buenavista unforgettable. Everything is to like about Casa Cactus, from the carefully decorated room, to the food that is creative, delicious and fresh, to the garden with beautiful plants, a pool to refresh and attentive staff. To make the most of Casa Cactus I recommend having your own car (although the hosts can help with arranging a taxi). The place is perfect if you are looking to relax, lay back and enjoy nature, but also be able to get to more lively places like Bacalar which is 20-30 mins by car. Jasmin and Sebastian made everything to ensure our stay would be perfect and gave us great advice on things to do and visit to get a real authentic experience. (They suggested a nearby spot for a beach day on the lagoon. The spot was secluded, and felt very intimate and private, with the jungle in the background, it was a bless compared to the crowds in Bacalar. Furthermore Buenavista is a perfect spot to visit Bacalar, but also other attractions nearby like Mahahual, a town on the Caribbean side, the ruins of Chacchoben or doing guided jungle tour.) Be aware there's not much choice for eating out in Buenavista, but you won't need it with the delicious food prepared by Jasmin. We preferred having dinner at Casa Cactus because of how good it was. Me and my girlfriend had the best stay here and would definitely recommend it.

It’s beautiful, everything about Shanti is luxury and high quality. It’s quiet location, a short 5 minute walk into the hustle and bustle and moments from the beach, provides a tranquil and peaceful space. The staff were so welcoming and helpful from moment of arrival, and served a delicious breakfast in the morning! I was working remote and the Wi-Fi was quick and super reliable, no issues on any of my zoom calls. Everything about Shanti was just perfect and I cannot wait to return.

Situated in San Cristóbal de Las Casas and with San Cristobal Cathedral reachable within less than 1 km, Tierra Alta Hostal features a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the... nicely decorated building, clean, use of kitchen, located near center, quiet, helpful owner, did bookings of tours and airport transfer for me. The cultural tour is recommendable.

Set in Cancún, 17 km from Cancun Bus Station, Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres - All Inclusive Adults Only offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre... This was by far the best All Inclusive hotel I’ve ever stayed in! It exceeded our expectations massively and despite the place not being fully open yet we didn’t feel the need for anything more! The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. We had booked a Preferred Club room and I cannot recommend it enough. Our butler Fonsi made sure we have the most exceptional stay and the bar staff especially Jarib were all helpful and quick.
