Vancouver International Airport (YVR) Information
Location and Transport
Vancouver International Airport is situated on Sea Island in Richmond, British Columbia. Downtown Vancouver is about 7 miles (12 kilometres) from the airport and can be reached in under 30 minutes via rail on the Canada Line. Taxis are available at stands located on level two of the arrivals area, and flat fares apply for journeys to specified zones in the city.

I did not spend much time in Richmond this trip, as I came in to see the Lene Lovich show at the Rickshaw theatre in Vancouver. I am however familiar with, and drawn to Richmond, particularly for it's diversity in both people and entertainment options.Guest review byAnonymousCanada - 10

Very expensive. Especially the restaurants. Area was ok.
Very expensive. Especially the restaurants. Area was ok. It was a reasonable ride to Vancouver, not far from the airport. We felt safe in the area where Sandman is. We used Uber to get to the cruise and the hotel shuttle fir the airport. I was surprised they didn't have a shuttle for the cruise ships even if they charged.Guest review byIDAUnited States
