I stayed one night here before continuing to other cities in Costa Rica. The family owned property is right behind the airport and the owner arranged transportation from the airport and to my destination. The homemade breakfast was excellent and the hosts are very hospitable.

The owner was very helpful. I timed it, and it took 15 min to walk to the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable. Alajuela has cool nights, so lack of AC was not a problem. Great budget option for late arrivals or early morning departures.
