This was my favorite place on this trip. It's location is perfect, the room was big and so clean. I was made very welcome by the staff who were kind and helpful. The free coffee and tea wad a surprise bonus. I will stay here again for sure.

Location and Transport

Bilbao Airport is located 6 miles (9 kilometres) north of central Bilbao, in the municipality of Loiu, Biscay. The cheapest way to reach the airport is by public transport. The Bizkaibus (Line A3247 Bilbao-Airport) connects the airport with Bilbao Termibus (central bus station), stopping at Gran Vía 79, Plaza Moyua and Alameda Recalde 11. The service departs from Bilbao every 20 minutes from 05:20 to 22:00, and from the airport every 20 minutes from 06:20 to 0:00. A taxi will to the city centre should cost around EUR 25, with a journey time of 15 minutes.

    A great neighbourhood to experience authentic life in another country and culture. Weekends are festive in the area with lots of activity at the local bars and cafes. Not many tourists around though... more elderly population noticeable.
