This hotel is located in the North of Colmar, 5 km from the city centre. It offers air conditioning, free WiFi access and an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast. This was a great stopover hotel. It's on an industrial estate but there is a restaurant a few metres walk. The rooms are compact but the beds are very comfortable. Could have done with more pillows but I didn't ask so nothing to do with the hotel. Air con was very welcome after a long hot journey. There's a vending machine and hot drink vending if needed anytime of day or night. The staff were very welcoming. Lovely breakfast spread. Great hotel if you are on a stopover or you want to explore the nearby vineyards.

The location is also convenient as it is just a 10’ minutes drive from the centre of Colmar. Véronique is super friendly and helpful. Was there to greet us and made sure our stay was amazing!

A delightful town with loads of history.
A delightful town with loads of history. Enjoy the Alsace wine and local food when you visit. Be sure to go to the Covered Market. Birthplace of Auguste Bartholdi, designer and builder of The Statue of Liberty (in New York). Cobbled streets, interesting houses and intriguing winding little lanes. Colmar does attract rather a LOT of tourists.

Colmar is a stunning and vibrant town.
Colmar is a stunning and vibrant town. Its colourful half-timbered houses, cobbed street and picturesque canals make it a joy to explore. It was very easy to navigate on foot, with so many lovely corners and spot to take a photo. The food is delicious, with some Alsatian restaurant serving regional specialities like tarte flambee' and choucroute. And the wine was also excellent we enjoyed the Rieslings and Gewurztraminers.

Amazing old town…We wandered and wandered, discovering new things every time. Please don’t miss the Dominican church and the wonderful altar piece by Mathias Schoene-something!!!! Would have loved a historical museum…so much to find out about the history, the winemaking, Hansi and the Battle of Colmar, but we had to sort of piece it together. The flowers are wonderful- even in the rain it all looked gorgeous- and we loved the market- don’t miss it!

An absolutely delightful city to visit!
An absolutely delightful city to visit! Stunning river views and picturesque side streets make it a joy to explore on foot. The local cuisine is fantastic and definitely worth trying. For activities like river cruises, I recommend booking in advance, as they are very popular and fill up quickly. A city full of charm and unforgettable experiences!

Historic Colmar is beautiful, you will find the usual tourist train that is worth using early in your trip because it gives you a feel for the whole area, covering parts you might otherwise miss and highlighting those spots you definitely want to visit in depth. Eating out is excellent with a host of bars and restaurants. While we were there a flea market was running in the Place de la Cathedrale which was typically of interest. The architecture and food is a mixture of French and German influences.

The Alsace region is absolutely gorgeous, and Colmar was a great location for us to visit by train the other picture postcard villages like Eguisheim, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr and there are other villages that we didn't have the time to visit. The Ancient Old Town in Colmar didn't disappoint with all the cobbled stone streets and the jewel in the crown being "Little Venice" which looks fantastic in the daytime but even better in the evening when the lights come on.
