The amenities and the location was fantastic! It was the perfect hub for both touring the island by car and for exploring Reykjavík. It was a short 10-15 min walk to the main square. The kitchen was well-equipped for us to prepare meals, and we appreciated the extra bedding and towels available. The property managers were extremely detailed and responsive with their communication to us. We loved our stay!

Evetything! The rooms are spacious and pretty clean, you have a huge place to put your stuff next to your bed, it was always clean, the kitchen is well equipped. Yes it is a little far away from the city center but it is only 15-20 minutes walking so it's like any hostel in any other European city??? But most of tours just leave right in front of the hostel if you'd like to book with them. I can't say anything bad, I really enjoyed my stay there and made a lot of friends too! Even I found Turkish speaking staff which was very unexpected for me hahaha

Yousef was an absolutely excellent host. He advised me on a great taxi company to come and pick me up when I got stuck in a storm. He made me a cup of tea and introduced me to some people at the hostel who became good friends.

We visited Iceland for 5 days and spend 4 nights in Reykjavik, We spent only 1 day sight seeing in the city. The remaining days we spent exploring the south east part of the island and the Golden Circle. If you just want the see the city 1 day is more than enough to leisurely see the entire city. Unless you want to spent time in the museums and galleries.

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities. The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.

This is one of ,,those,, accommodations where you want to spend the night after a week full of traveling. It is clear that the owner has a sense of detail and quality. You can feel the quality on the materials and furnishings, the equipment of the entire apartment and the services that are here. Everything is still new, clean. Situated in a quiet location. We slept very well! Parking in front of the entrance, Accessibility anywhere is perfect. Since it is new here, the accommodation does not have any review and even though I usually do not write reviews, I think this one deserves one. For the price, it is exclusive accommodation and we will definitely come back here.

Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink.

Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink. We had breakfast included in our room rate each day so saved quite a few dollars. We had a rental car, the hotel had no parking. We soon worked out where to park the car near the hotel overnight for free. Parking is strictly enforced in Iceland. We used supermarkets to buy or make our lunches and dinners where we spent out in restaurants (not cheap). The cheapest place to eat is Ikea - you need a car to get there unless public transport by bus can be worked out. Snorkelling between the tectonic plates was the best. Hot pools in Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths was excellent and not expensive (take a towel from the hotel). Blue Lagoon is over rated and too expensive.

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.

People are very relaxed, helpfull and very pleasent. The city is not large, can be walked accross. We had not much time for excursions, 'couse it was a business trip, we tried to see the aurora, but no luck )-:. Also visited the Blue Lagoon, nice experience. In all, it is a nice place to visit, but too expensive for my taste.
