Resting on a small hillock in the sleepy village of Phedi Patan, SUNSHINE RESORT, truly a wellness & stylishly boutique property, offers all rooms with a panoramic 360 degrees view of the Annapurna... I was caught in awe by the location of the property for its majestic view of the entire Annapurna range and the Machapuchare peak! One really needn’t go anywhere else in Pokhara if looking to indulge in basking under the sight of the Himalayas! Aside from the view, I found the staff to be very hospitable. The food was exceptionally well prepared with care and the shuttle car is a boon for getting to the lakeside (and back!). I look forward to coming back for a stay with my family someday and taking up that offer for a hike! 😊

Few places are good but in summer never recommend to anyone for Pokhra . Perfect season for travelling is before March & after October. Temperature in June is around 35-38 degrees which is not good for travelling.

A Refreshing Stop in Pokhara – Great Weather & Scenery We visited Pokhara before and after our hiking trip to Mardi Himal Base Camp. It's a beautiful, peaceful city with pleasant weather and stunning natural surroundings. We explored the lake area and nearby spots – truly relaxing. The airport was very clean and convenient, making travel smooth. A perfect stopover for trekkers and nature lovers!

Pokhara is a beautiful city with tourist attractions. It was a difficult road journey in a Luxury Coach journey from Kathamandu which took 11 hours to travel 200km due to extremely poor road conditions and traffic jams. Nepal Government must improve the infrastructure and to have reliable airlines with good safety records to attract more tourists to help its economy as well.

Phewa Lake and its surroundings feels authentic full of different city's flavors Weather is tricky during rainy season Definitely needs to stay there at least for three days to see major Buddhist landmarks I ate on the local streets - both restaurant and street food Expensive plane from KTM or 6-9 hour bus from Kathmandu

Pokhara was excellent!
Pokhara was excellent! I had the chance to participate in a local wedding, which gave me a real understanding of Nepali traditions and customs. I visited beautiful places like the World Peace Stupa, Begnas Lake, Phewa Lake, the Old Bazaar, and the New Bazaar. For food and atmosphere, I enjoyed Open House Restro & Lounge Bar by the lakeside. Getting around was easy, and for solo travellers there’s so much to do – from exploring temples and bazaars to relaxing by the lake or hiking to viewpoints.

I find Pokhara to be one of the best places for a vacation. The city offers a wide range of accommodations—from budget lodges and mid-range hotels to luxurious five-star resorts. Its scenic beauty, cleanliness, diverse and delicious food options, welcoming culture, and strong sense of safety make it truly special. There are plenty of vacation activities to enjoy, and the surrounding hills offer excellent opportunities for both short and long hikes. Pokhara is perhaps one of the few cities where you can take in the stunning views of serene lakes, lush green hills, and majestic snow-clad mountains—all standing right before you. I come here often for my holidays, and each time leaves me wanting more. I love returning again and again.
