Such a gorgeous and comfortable house and beautifully decorated for Christmas too which made it feel really homely. Neil and Sue were lovely and their wonderful dog "Ted" is so friendly! The lamb we had for dinner and the cooked breakfast next day were both amazing and it was definitely one of our favourite places visited throughout New Zealand.

Matamata Central Motel is a 20-minute drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tours, where parts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were being filmed. Very clean place, great sized space and friendly hosts.
