Luca took us out on the boat (dhow) each day to the amazing pristine white sand banks and turquoise warm sea - totally magical and relaxing. Emerald Bay is truly a genuinely special place, out of the tourist hot spots and absolutely in tune with nature and the location. We loved our stay. Thank you to Luca and Raphael for creating the perfect finale to our East African adventure.

Pemba Lodge is an eco-friendly resort offering bungalows made out of recycled boats and natural local materials. I have now been to Misali sunset beach hotel and pemba paradise, for me the eco lodge was the best experience. So authentic!!! The location is perfect for a exploring getaway! Friendly staff. Not crowded at all, at one of our nights we were the only guests at the resort. The beaches are so prestine and beautiful! Snorkeling and turtle aquarium I recommend! Food is excellent, super fresh tuna! The best I have ever tasted!!

Pemba Paradise features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Makangale. There is a restaurant serving African cuisine, and free private parking is available. Very peaceful, beautiful surroundings and attentive staff. A lovely spot to watch the sunset with a happy hour cocktail in hand. The food was also excellent, with delicious fresh fish dishes. We also dived with Pemba dive centre who are on site and can very highly recommend them.
