APA Hotel Kyoto Ekihigashi stands out as the best APA hotel I’ve experienced, and I’ve stayed at several in this reliable chain. The location is unbeatable, just steps away from Kyoto Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The rooms, though compact, are efficiently designed and offer all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff is professional and check-in is smooth, as always with APA hotels. If you’re looking for a great balance of value, location, and comfort in Kyoto, this is the place to stay.

You get what you pay for. For the price it was amazing considering its only slightly more expensive than a hostel. Dont expect grandeur and staff that will bow and serve you all day but definitely great value for money. The amenities were also great.

It'a an APA hotel, you kind of know what to expect. Everything worked and the prices are reasonable. The location was very good for both the bus/train station, so it was easy to get to all the places you wanted to go. There was also a communal bath, which my Japanese wife wife made daily use of while we were there.

The APA hotel chain is quite standard across the country so I already knew what to expect, which is something I appreciate. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, fuss-free check-in. Also, I like that the beds are raised, allowing for luggage space.
