I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Porto Marina, nestled beautifully between El Peñol and Guatapé, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. This serene retreat is a hidden gem, perfectly situated on the banks of a tranquil water source, surrounded by lush trees that enhance the sense of calm and connection to nature. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the peaceful ambiance. The hotel offers a perfect escape for anyone looking to do some soul searching or simply unwind in a serene environment. I spent my mornings sipping coffee by the water and basking in the beauty of my surroundings—truly rejuvenating! The dining experience at the LIMA restaurant was another highlight of my stay. Each meal was a delight, with a menu that showcased delicious, locally-inspired dishes. The breakfast spread was particularly impressive, offering a variety of options that catered to every palate. I found myself looking forward to each meal! What truly sets Hotel Porto Marina apart is its exceptional staff. Every team member was polite, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, making me feel right at home. Such a lovely place! Nice cabins (just like in the pictures), friendly staff, room service for any meal you want to have in your room. We had the family cabin with two separate rooms and two bathrooms (which we didn’t expect). You can rent jetskis (order upfront as they bring it from somewhere else but it was there for us within 10 minutes). Don’t hesitate to go to Guatapé though to spend time in the village and on the water. It’s so worth it!
