Really nice apartment directly at the sea with good air conditioning and wifi and a balcony with sea view! The breakfast was delicious and huge and there are several amazing, quiet beaches really close by. Sana was the most caring and lovely host! He organized a sunbed for free whenever I was asking for it, guided me around the area and had a lot of great hints and recommendations for my stay.

A beautiful villa right by the beach — a perfect place to relax and immerse yourself in the soothing sound of the waves. The rooms are huge, elegantly furnished, and each has an additional space that serves as a living room. We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace with a spectacular view of the ocean. However, the absolute highlight of our stay was the fantastic food. Every single dish we ordered was delicious — hands down the best food we had during our entire trip to Sri Lanka. We spent every day at the beach, where in the afternoons we could watch traditional fishing methods, and some of the fresh catch even ended up on our plates later! We also took a tour organized through the villa. We highly recommend the river safari, which includes a must-visit stop at Cinnamon Island and a local temple.

We spent the last 3 nights of our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka and Jungle Beach Ahungalla was the PERFECT place to end our trip. - Located on the quiet beach of Ahungalla, the whole complex is ideal for a relaxing time : deckchairs, hammock, bar/restaurant on the beach, yoga, massages. the common spaces are all outdoors but naturally shaded by wonderful trees. - Clean, comfortable, well furnished, nicely decorated room with attentions to details and all the necessities - The restaurant of the hotel is the best we had in Sri Lanka (local food but with the European simplicity). Menu à la carte with a fixed selection and a menu of the day, as well as "fish platter" with fresh seafood and fish from the day. - Included breakfast was delicious : fresh fruits, eggs/omelette and everyday a different Sri-Lankan specialty (coconut-rice and curry, pittu/puttu and curry etc) - All the staff members were amazing, friendly and available. The owner was very kind, present and helpful

This is truly a hidden gem. If you book Dinesh's place you will get what is in the photos but at the same time you will get sooooo much more that can't be captured by a camera. You get the honor of being accepted by a local Sri Lankan family as one of their own. This warm hearted family will go to extra lengths to make you feel like in a home away and hard to leave :-). Compared to tourist hot spots in Sri Lanka, Dinuli is offering a unique experience at a reasonable price. Bottom line is if you are after something authentic this is a place for you and not a hotel with 24 hour service. Apart from accommodation, beach is amazing and for a change you can actually swim without being slammed by huge waves. They are manageable. You will not make a mistake if you book Dinuli. Dear Nishanthi and Wasantha. You are the greatest hosts we’ve ever met! All the credit for our amazing holiday must be given to you as it was the first place we stayed during our travel, and the vibe you shared with us didn’t leave us up to the last day in Sri Lanka. Your attitude is incredible. We felt like being at home. The way you met us the first day (with flower garlands which smelled like heaven), the way you treated us during the stay (ready to help with literally anything we needed) - everything breathed love at your house. Your attitude really exceeds all the expectations. To those who are considering a stay at the place, please, don’t hesitate. This is going to be an eye-opening experience to what a 10 out of 10 is. No, this can’t be 10. We would give the hosts 10 times more if it was possible❤️. As for the cleanliness - it was incredibly spotless. This was the cleanest place we had ever visited throughout all our journeys. As for the breakfasts - oh, this was something unbelievable. Everything was so tasty, served so neatly. And the balcony, where our breakfasts were served, overlooks the lovely garden, so you can see some lovely birds, squirrels and enjoy the sounds of them while having your breakfast. They give you a small bag where you can put whatever you haven’t eaten, so you can take it with you to the beach or put it in the fridge (the room facilities are also provided) and eat it later. Another thing, which is worth mentioning, is the fresh flowers arranged around the room and on the balcony. So the place smelled so fresh, so nice. You can really see that they pay great attention to detail. Regarding the beach, it’s a three-minute walk from the house and you are going to be really surprised in a good way as it is not crowded at all and, as a result, very clean. So you can enjoy your time at the beach with no plastic thrown around it. There are also good cafes along the beach with quite affordable prices.

Our stay at Abu Bay was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the stay. Amazing trip from start to finish. The beach hut was wonderful, the staff were fantastic and very friendly and the food was gorgeous. The bar was right on the beach so you could sip your drink while watching the sea.

The most amazing location right on the beach front. We loved staying so close to nature. The host Barbara was amazing and no request was too much trouble. She arranged a special dinner for us on the beach to celebrate our engagement. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. If we’re ever in Sri Lanka again we’ll be coming back for sure!
