We did not expect much,because of the price was low compared to other places,but men was I wrong. Accomodation is clean and well managed,but what really bought me, was the staff and their dedication to make your stay easy and effortless..big thx to Sanju and his Dad,Avi and rest of the crew,we felt like part of the family there.Great and even beyond value for money. An incredibly stylish and beautiful hotel. I was looking for a calm place and this was a perfect match. However, you can socialize if you want. Jessie, the manager, is doing his job with a strong sense of responsibility, Ansalees and other employees are highly professional and kind. Hotel boat can take you to the beach. The place is very popular for kitesurfers and the beach was very windy during my stay, but you can relax perfectly at the hotel pool. The atmosphere there is idyllic. Food was really tasty.

The cabins are great, interesting, private. The staff are great, really friendly and helpful. The food, location and staff at the on site restaurant and bar were all great. Really recommend Windy Waves Kite Beach Resort.

Our stay in Luna laguna has been one of the biggest highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel is near the lagoon in a very well maintained garden. What we loved the most: - The place. everything in this hotel is breathtaking. The swimming pool, the rooms, the garden have a charm that make it so special. - The food. A special huge thanks to the talented chef that offered us the best food we had in Sri Lanka. You deserve a big reward for your job. - The people. People working in the hotel are really really good heart people and do their best to make your stay as confortable as possible. A special thanks to django This stay was special for us and you truly contributed to it. I cannot recommend enough Luna laguna for your stay in Kalpitiya. Special advise: Kalpitiya is a very small town with not much to see but the lagoon is breathtaking for any water sport, for sure the best time to start or practice kite, wingfoil, sailboard

Absolutely​ adorable little cottages directly on the beach. Simple but very comfortable. I loved hearing the ocean day and night. Large  breakfasts and I loved the fried fish for dinner. Dedicated and attentive staff whether I wanted tea or I needed information or transportation. They have kitesurfing lessons and rent gear as well as arrange for Safaris and other excursions which was hugely convenient. They went above and beyond to make sure I had eveverything I needed. I loved it so much I even stated well quite a few extra days.

- the location is beautiful: restaurant directly on the beach with beautiful sunsets - cabanas were really clean and with a small private garden and backyard where nobody could see in - staff was very kind, friendly and ready to help - the cabanas and all the resort is in the middle of nature: sand & palm trees - for tuktuk drives around or to the lagoon you can always count on “Isuru” (just ask at the reception for his name/number); he is very friendly, helpful and makes good prices :)

Loved the location, massive room with a huge balcony overlooking the ocean. We wake up to the sound of the wild birds and ocean waves bashing on the beach. Good facilities with a big room and extra big bed. Lovely Sunset a around 530 - 6pm Great location for kite surfing, excellent food and super friendly staff, lovely pool, we'll be back soon with our friends. Well done Wellé Wadiya, keep up the great service! Al the best!

My favorite place in Kalpitiya, located right by a beautiful and clean private stretch of beach. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and can organize all kinds of activities for you, including kite surfing lessons. The cabanas are very spacious and got everything you need. At night you hear the ocean, what’s adding to the very calm and relaxing vibe of this place. Very amazing value for money, will definitely come back and stay there again!

Windy is at a great location right on the beach. The staff is super friendly and the food at the restaurant is wonderful. Perfect for kitesurfing right from the beach and both lagoons with flat water are easy to reach. It’s not a five star resort, but it’s excellent value for money with super helpful and friendly staff.

Great hotel. A real treat. Beautiful setting right on the beach. Very attentive friendly staff. Clean, comfortable airy room with an amazing view from the balcony. Extended our stay as it was so perfect. If you fancy a mooch, there are few little bars and beach hotels a short walk along the beach for a beer or juice with sunset!

A relaxed stay at Windy Waves. Right on the beach (great for sunsets) and a short tuk-tuk ride to lagoon kite spots. The staff are friendly and keen to serve any needs. Breakfast included was plentiful and good. The restaurant for other meals offered tasty meals at reasonable prices.
