I had an incredible stay at Hotel Campismo Praia Grande on São Tomé and Príncipe! The location is a true paradise, with stunning natural beauty all around. One of the highlights was the nearby Praia Grande, a magical spot where you can witness sea turtles coming to nest – an unforgettable experience! Due to an unforeseen change of plans, we booked our stay just a few hours before arriving. Joao contacted me right away via WhatsApp to let us know he wouldn’t be there initially, but he made sure someone was expecting us and ready to greet us. This excellent communication continued throughout our stay. Joao’s hospitality was the standout—he was always available for anything we needed and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, bread and eggs, (and even soya yoghurt—which he had gone out especially to get for me as a vegetarian) Our room had a beautiful view of the sea, and we could hear the waves crashing as we fell asleep—I slept really well here. The location is in a village, and although we don’t speak Portuguese, the locals were very friendly. We even enjoyed a drink at the local bar and felt very safe the entire time.

The location is amazing, on a beautiful beach. The staff is super nice. António is really nice and helpful and the food prepared by Menta is amazing. Sleep was good, since the mattress was very good!

The location is fantastic and has a beautiful view. We loved staying in Santana. The house is well equipped and has a lovely mango tree in the garden. The hosts are very helpful. We really recommend this place.

The food was always amazing and so fresh. The lodge was extremely peaceful and in close proximity to some of the nicest beaches of the south. The staff were phenomenal and made my stay that much more special. I ended up extending for an extra three days because I didn’t want to leave! Will be back.
