We took his advice and did another hour of touring to learn more about Atami. It was a very hospitable and warming journey we had had with this hotel. A little noisy in the daytime but luckily there was not much traffic at night. The house was a little old but very well kept and clean and partly renovated. Just a little disappointed that the toilet were still of the older non automated version. The host treated us to a little cheesecake and juice upon our arrival, and so helpful to send us off to the railway station when we asked for help. The bus timing is rather sparse after 8 in the morning, and there is no bus until the evening. There is a hotel Hotel Nami on the opposite side of the road where you can get food for a decent price, otherwise this area is very quiet aside from the Onigajo cliffs attractions on the opposite side of the road.

This was the best hotel I’ve stayed at. It was run by this cute lady, who was very talkative, friendly and just enjoyed getting to know travelers. She made my stay super comfortable and I felt so at home here. I definitely want to come to Atami again just to stay here and see her again.
