Scott was always available for any questions and ready to assist. Also Helene was evidently knowledgeable about the locality and the region, and offered useful advice.

Good stop in Aviemore on our way to explore the highlands. Spacious parking and close to restaurants and supermarkets. The place was charming and the room was on the smaller side but comfortable enough. The breakfast was superb and cooked on request - great full scottish breakfast and pancakes with smoked salmon! All the staff was very helpful and friendly.

We liked the location, the property, the room, the little extras in the room, the breakfasts were varied and really nice. It was nice to have sufficient parking spaces for all the guests. Isla and her brother are fantastic hosts, they couldn't do enough for each of the guests. They provided lots of really useful local information with history and also information for people traveling further afield. A big thumbs up from my wife and I. If we were ever to visit the area again we would contact this host above all others.

As I have been discovering, while touring Scotland, many so-called ‘B&B’ establishments no longer include ‘breakfast’ in their business models; this has led to a sort of cottage industry in small towns and other places, where cafés and other establishments have sprung up in order to provide this service instead (I ended up in one such place, and it was delightful). The property itself was interesting and comfortable, though initially difficult to find; however, one phone call to the host provided succinct directions to their door.

Our stay at the Garth Hotel was just for one night on our way up towards Inverness to start the NC500. It was such a lovely stop for us. The room was really spacious and the bed was comfy. We didn't venture into the town but the hotel bar and restaurant were more than enough for what we needed and the food was lovely. It was all really enjoyable and we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area.

10 out of 10 Our stay was very short but totally worth it! The rooms very extremely clean, which makes everything more comfortable! The beds were well-made, and the bathroom was sparkling clean. The location was easy to reach, and our host was accommodating and patient with our late check-in and breakfast reservation. You can even reserve a packed lunch that will free your mind about lunch later in the day while you explore the surroundings or drive as it did with us! Now, the host again was accommodating, cheerful, and very polite and also gave us pointers about places we wanted to visit! The breakfast you reserve from the day prior from the room located inside your room. It was delicious! Our only regret is not arriving earlier and staying longer. Thanks, Adrian, for the warm welcome to Scotland!

Mark is a very friendly and helpful host. He prepares a yummy breakfast (yogurt with fresh fruits, porridge, pancakes with maple syrup and all sorts of cooked scottish breakfast). It’s a beautiful (and quiet) guest house within walking distance to the restaurants.

Hotel was in a great location with free parking - but got very busy later in the day. Many shops & places to eat 5 minute walk away. Yeah but gets very busy so I’d recommend booking if you want to eat there Room was small but comfortable, shower was good & WiFi was working great. Room was quiet despite being over a lively pub. The breakfast was lovely with a great vegetarian option. Staff were all great. Very friendly & helpful. Especially James who called us to let us know we had left a bag behind.
