Very nice accommodation in a historical building. Rooms not very big but cosy and well equipped. Also some complimentary drinks, really appreciated. Beautiful flowers at the inner yard balcony. Nice food: breakfast a la carte, not buffet, we had also a very tasty dinner.

As a contractor staying away the Bell and Bottle was great , the staff was very friendly and super helpful, the food was amazing!! for us breakfast was a little late starting at 7.30 but was worth turning up to site slightly late for a full English breakfast included in the price.

Very pleasurable stay, the property/room was very clean and had everything including tea-making facilities which was very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was cosy, very clean and pretty with a rather comfortable bed. Caroline is a very friendly and extremely helpful host and I would like to thank her very much for letting me stay on whilst I was waiting for my transport. Thanks again for all the help.

Great location and ideal for access to airport, and great value for money. Room was comfortable and quiet and had fresh coffee and a French press. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and check in was easy and fast. The breakfast was amazing and it was handy having the restaurant on site for an evening meal.

The Bird in Hand has become our home from home when visiting England over the last few years. Comfortable rooms, thoughtful touches, a great location, excellent breakfasts - it’s always where we begin and end our stays and return to after venturing further afield for a little exploring or visiting friends and we’ll certainly be back.
