Warm welcome by the host who gave a little tour of the hostel. Nice common area, clean facilities and free breakfast/snacks. They make you feel very welcome, as a female solo traveller I felt instantly at ease after a long travel day.

I am really enjoy staying here for 2 nights. The host couple are very friendly. They also provide me information about yamanakako and kawaguchiko. Due to their information, I took a right route to see Mt. Fuji many times in cloudy and rainning days~ I rented their bike to cycle around the lake and go to Osinohasai.

First, about the owners: my rental broke down just as I reached the property. They helped me by calling the rental company, then the insurance company, then the tow truck company. I don't speak a word of Japanese and I couldn't get this done without them. That lead me to trying to find a way back. They spent 7 to 8 hours helping me find my route! It's a complicated route that I had (going to kyoto) and they walked me through all of it. They are savvy, know bus routes, and will lend you a hand if need be. Now the property: amazing!! Next to the lake, plenty of parking, clean throughout, cloae to moint fuji. Heated floors were amazing (especially in winte)r. Common areas are functional, and they provide everything you need to make it feel like home. They showed us how to prepare our market bought meals (market is just around the corner). The house is absolutely beautiful. Chances are, you will meet like minded, mature travellers like we did. This was not a frat house. Guests were mature, from all around the world, and I had a great time conversating with the few small groups I came across. The hosts stayed up with us, we all had drinks in the common area, and had good conversation. 10 out of 10, I would recommend it again. I don't usually write lengthy reviews but this review is easily, we'll deserved.

Staying at this 70 years old Japanese house really made me feel like I was in Studio Ghibli movies or Japanese anime. It was awesome! Located in the countryside and even has a view of Mount Fuji making it the perfect combo. The architecture, homewares/furniture and surroundings perfectly convey the experience of being part of a Japanese family. Rooms with futons (traditional Japanese beds) and tatami (straw mat) floors, kitchens with traditional style utensils, toilets, all are in Japanese style. They also rent you kimono and yukata for free which gives you an almost real experience of being a local. The tap water even comes from Mount Fuji which allows you to drink it directly and safely. Everything is neat and clean. The owner is also very friendly, kind and polite. This guesthouse is 1000000/10. For those of you who plan to see Mount Fuji in the Fujikawaguchiko area, I highly recommend you this guesthouse. You won't be disappointed I promise. It only takes 5 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko Station. It was sad leaving there because I never ever in loved with a guesthouse/hostel etc so much before. I hope I can get another chance to stay there.

It was an excellent house and stay in a peaceful location. House was super clean, well maintained and Cosy. It would be perfect if you have a car for convenience. We could see Mt Fuji from out bedroom
