An amazing very comfortable and beautifully designed rural house with a fire place and cozy armchairs. Everything is very well planned, new and aesthetically well done. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a nice terrace with a pretty view, high ceilings and lots of air and light... The hosts are so very hospitable, left for us a bottle of wine, tea and coffee and even some treats for our dog, - we felt very welcomed guests there. Thank you, Jolanda and Michael! We loved staying at your property! )

What a find! Casa Carvalhal is an amazing property that is maintained to a very high standard by the owners. Our room and the ensuite were very spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable. Having a separate dressing room was a real bonus. The attention to detail in the rooms is exceptional. Our room had a terrace with chairs & sunloungers and it was lovely to relax outside with a book and enjoy the sun. We have visited many places and can honestly say this is definitely one of the best. The breakfast was incredible and very healthy with the majority of the food being homemade e.g. yogurt, marmalade, freshly squeezed orange juice and granola - being given a bag to take pastries, bread etc with us was a lovely touch. Herman and Luc are fantastic hosts, who clearly have a passion for what they do - they were both more than happy to help us with ideas of things to do in the area. There is plenty of parking and the property is very secure and the locked gate can only be accessed by guests. We would have no hesitation in recommending Casa Carvalhal if you are visiting Gois or the surrounding area

Most friendly people & staff which Dinther utmost best to make you feel welcome. We stayed in a tent, which was perfect. Property located at a remote spot with an astonishing view! Perfect holiday with kids. 2x large swimming pools in main area, which were just perfect for young(er) kids as well, as their entry is rather shallow, slowly gradually getting more deep, making it also suitable for adults. We loved it!

Our stay at Magnolias Cottage was so great! You can see how they have worked hard to make everything comfortable. The bed was comfy, the little setup when we arrived was great and you have to have the breakfast, it was lovely! Overall a great stay, very comfortable and you can see that the host has worked hard on the property.

Everything about this stay has been amazing! The owner has been super welcoming and sweet and made sure we were comfortable and all set up! The rooms are cozy, clean, well equipped and the facilities had everything needed for a great stay. The property is also very peaceful and one minute away from all the nice nature of the area. They thought of everything, starting from the comfort to the attention in the decor and the composition of breakfast!

This place was incredible! Penacova is THE most amazing little village, and the guesthouse we stayed in was incredible. Eduardo and his brother made us feel SO welcome, and we even had a huge functions kitchen to ourselves to cook our yummy dinner! They were so lovely and authentic! Please don't be put off by their struggle with wi-fi - just appreciate the surroundings - a true, authentic European village!

This was a beautiful place to stay. Every detail was well appointed and the host was very friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. We especially enjoyed comfortable beds, good conversations at delicious breakfast and sitting on the lovely terrace under the stars. The quiet and the views were exceptional. It is well located in easy driving range of many interesting sites. Our top choice for this area.

If you want peace, fresh air, quiet, beauty and nature this is the place to visit! You will stay in beautifully appointed accommodation with views to die for and a hostess that has anticipated anything you would need during your stay. It is a truly stunning area with so much to do and see, one of my favourite parts of Portugal. You will leave feeling rested and energized!
