The property has sea and mountain views, and is 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. The guest house features family rooms. Clean stay with the friendliest host. We enjoyed the onsen with wonderful mountain and sea views as well as an ice cream gift after bathing! The host allowed us to drop off our luggae early which freed us to stroll around the temple nearby and the rest of Atami, all of the host’s recommendations! My friends and I used the common area often as it was filled with natural light and windows across the entire span of the room. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay!

Please pay in cash or by card upon check-in. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the lodging tax. Beautiful place. Lovely interior and very spacious. Location was great and staff were extremely kind and helpful. One of the best places to stay in Japan!

After reading the rave reviews, I booked this stay months in advance to make sure we would not miss the opportunity to meet Ken and Yuki and to stay at their guesthouse boasting modern facilities and balancing comfort and sleek design with traditional Japanese architecture and minimalistic and elegant interior design. At the end of a long day hiking, we were greeted with a big smile as if we'd come home to our family, a feeling that is both priceless and heatwarming. Ken's kind and welcoming nature is only rivalled by Yuki's and her sense of humor. Dinner was as delicious as our breakfast (all guests shamelessly went for seconds and some even thirds taking the lead for a brave lady I shall not name), enjoyed to the sound of Jazz standards in a communal spirit shared with the other guests, all of whom polite and considerate, as if handpicked by the hosts or perhaps instinctively mirroring their behavior. Guests do not have to wait to take a shower because there are three showers, one of which with an additional bathtub, for four rooms. Everything is impeccably clean and organized, making you feel restful instantly. So, do not hesitate to book this guesthouse as you make your way along the Old Nakasendo Road or just take a taxi to Magome and walk a few hundred meters to take photos for your Insta. Whether you fit the former or latter category, you will be treated as a family member by the kindest people we've met during our 3-week stay in Japan. I've already recommended this guesthouse to everyone I know who is planning to visiting Japan.

It is located 11 km from Lake Kawaguchi and provides a shared kitchen. Guests can make use of a garden. It is neat clean quite and peaceful, they provide shuttle from bus station for check in and out. Super sweet people

Featuring free WiFi, private parking and a shared lounge, the recently renovated property of Snow Palace Nozawa, offers accommodation in Nozawa Onsen, 21 km from Ryuoo Ski Park and 32 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. The property has mountain and quiet street views, and is 41 km from Suzaka City Zoo. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, free shuttle service and luggage storage for guests. Nice, clean, and competitively priced. It was only a 10 to 15 min walk to the slopes. I would def stay here again!

16 km from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area in Hakuba, 白馬の黒馬　DarkHorse @Hakuba offers accommodation with access to a hot tub and spa facilities. Among the various facilities are a garden, a bar, as well as a shared lounge. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The staff here is very friendly, the room is clean. They will try their best accommodate and arrange pick up and drop off accordingly.

The units in the guest house are equipped with a flat-screen TV. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. The units are equipped with heating facilities. Hosts were very accommodating despite speaking little English and my limited Japanese. Translation app overcame that barrier. A stocked fridge and comprehensive facilities made my stay very enjoyable. I was able to cook a simple meal, and do some laundry without having to leave the guesthouse in the heavy snow! The cherry on top was the owner driving me to the dinosaur museum in the morning. Very unexpected but much appreciated.

GOKAYAMA BASE features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Nanto, 44 km from Kanazawa Castle. 44 km from Kenrokuen Garden and 26 km from Shirakawago, the property offers a garden and a shared lounge. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and bicycle parking for guests. Our stay was PERFECT in every way. The house is so thoughtfully designed and with such good taste. Everything is super clean and tidy yet very cozy and it feels like home. The shower rooms are wonderful, the rooms are spacious, the kitchen has absolutely everything and all such good quality. We stayed two nights and visited the world heritage sites nearby. You can get to Ainokura walking 30/40 minutes. The others are reached by bus and the bus stop is right in front of the house. You have a supermarket 2 blocks away, two bakeries from Which I totally recommend the bread / doughnut with red bean paste and the cakes. We also had a wonderful dinner in one of the restaurants. The host was so kind and attentive to every detail. I totally fully recommend staying here. Wonderful experience!
