They kindly opened their home to us and took such good care of us during our short stay. The accomedation should be priced much higher, but the feeling I had was that this couple wanted to help as many people experience true Japanese culture, without price being a constraint. Their home was beautiful, the futons were comfortable (even though usually we struggle with them), we had the most delicious breakfast and had the best recommendations for sightseeing.

Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.
