My husband and I LOVE Palmetto Lodge the best from our stay in Costa Rica. The location was beautiful, and secluded, with an amazing view. The owners were so kind and inviting. They've worked so hard on their property and the work is 1000% reflected in their lodge. The breakfast was AMAZING! Everything homemade. Their hospitality was the best.

You couldn’t wish for better hosts and room/ garden / kitchen facilities / location and maybe I was lucky but all the other guests ( maximum of 12 ,at a time ) were amazing people . My 10 days were making great new friends , very kind and genuine people seem to gravitate to this beautiful hotel . You will see monkeys in the trees and wake to their howls & the bird life and that’s it , no road noise , leisurely coffee and breakfast then onto your day :) Absolutely faultless , highly highly recommend . It’s incredibly clean, the breakfast was absolutely top notch (given that it was free) and Roberto was a very welcoming host. The location is 3 minutes walk to Carrillo Beach which is more beautiful than Samara beach anyways. We‘d come back any time!

The hosts were really lovely and let us leave our luggage on the last day so we could spend the day at the beach. It's walking distance to the beach. They lend you back-pack beach chairs! Brilliant idea!...even if you do look like a tourist!! lol!! Teh attention to detail in the room was lovely... the kitchen appliances and utensils were really nice...even the mugs...good quality rather than the cheapest, so you felt it was a luxury stay! I was shown around everything when I arrived. It really was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay very much!! The area of the hotel is beautiful, plenty of green plants! Ubicated at the center of Puerto Carrillo and with walk distance to Carrillo beach. Swimming pool is a nice bonus! I can recommend :-)

The location is great, very close to restaurants and the beach but also quiet. It's nice to have a living room + kitchen and balconies. Beds were comfortable + AC in the bedrooms is enjoyable. There is everything in the flat if you need to cook.

The host was super nice, welcoming and very helpful. The apartment we got was super clean, well equipped and cosy. It is just a short walk to the wonderful beach of Samara. We loved Casa Maiana that much that we already decided to come back one day!
