They also took us to safari with their own jeep. As for food - the breakfast, as well as dinner, was delicious. The dinner is a rice&curry buffet with spicy and non-spicy options. For lunch, there are several soups and sandwiches available. We were traveling with a picky 4yo, so this was a lifesaver.

Our chalet was large and well-maintained with a lovely little terrace overlooking the most spectacular setting. The river is lovely to paddle on using the free kayak, there are free bicycles to cycle into the local village and the breakfast is incredible. The host is one of the most generous and kind-hearted people we’ve met in Sri Lanka and could tell that he pours his heart and soul into his business. With only 3 chalets, there is a tranquil and intimate vibe - photos don’t do it justice! Such fantastic value for money
