5 min from Woodhenge,13 Min Stonehenge,18 min Old Sarum,25 min from Salisbury. Dog & Gun is a cozy place to stay and enjoy while visiting these Historic places. The Staff is very attentive, friendly and inviting. They welcomed us with a bottle of fresh milk and homemade brownie, very lovely and delicious. The rooms are above the bar, we didn't have any issues with noises and if you are a light sleeper they have complimentary ear plugs in the room for your convenience. The Room was Spacious, Warm, Comfortable, Well decorated & Extremely Clean. They had an excellent breakfast and dinner menu. Delicious food with vegetarian options and very Fresh ingredients (Best Hollandaise sauce we ever had for Perfect Benedict eggs). Nice variety of Quality Alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages. The overall ambiance is relaxed, welcoming, good food, good music, well located, comfy rooms, nice people, outdoor space if you want. Definitely plan to return to what became one of our favorite places. Parking space could be limited on a really busy day.

The Barge Inn is a little Paradise with the friendliest People. The Room was huge and a perfect Mix of beautyful renovated old and modern. I heard they sometimes host music Festivals (check their website). No idea if it can get loud then but as we were there it was super quiet at night and we slept wonderful. The Bed was big and very comfortable. I have to eat glutenfree and they offered me many options for breakfast (GF Granola, Cornflakes, Bread..) and a full english Breakfast. Also our dog was very welcomed. Even in the bar. We were so happy and already make plans to come back once for longer.

Beatiful old world inn in a peaceful location. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Food was top quality and reasonably priced. Add the very friendly and helpful staff to this and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks for a great stay.

    This was our second stay at the property, we had such a lovely time last summer that we decided to come back for the Easter weekend. It’s in a great location for exploring the Wiltshire countryside and to visit Bath and Salisbury. The house itself is of a good size, very comfortably furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen. A toddler bed and a booster seat for the kitchen chair was provided for our son. A travel cot is also available.

    The warm welcome along with the welcome basket was lovely! The house is immaculate and has absolutely everything you need for a great stay. Hosts at hand any time, but also kind enough to give privacy. Great location for all the Wiltshire sights, and a wealth of local information from the lovely Sue. Many thanks!

    Spotlessly clean. Lovely space. It had everything you could possibly need, even a thoughtful welcome hamper and milk in the fridge on arrival. Owners were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful providing a toddler bed. Owners also kindly let us use their garden. Pub serving bar meals with a lovely beer garden and park within walking distance.

    Our second stay at Little Furze, it was as good as the first time, if not better!!! Very clean, comfortable, well equipped with a home from home feel about it. It is situated in a lovely area with many places to visit, a short car drive away. Thank you for your generosity and hospitality.
