A true homestay for those who wish to experience the famous irish hospitality! The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, we really enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know more about life in Ireland. Our room was spacious, cozy and clean; the house is located in a quiet area so we had a good night sleep. Delicious continental breakfast (with the best americano coffee of our entire trip!). The hosts were the nicest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. The location next to the lake was lovely for a nice morning run and to experience what a true wetlands part of Ireland breathes like. Doris and Kevin were the perfect hosts, beautiful home and the breakfast was fabulous, great nights sleep. Rooms bigger than you would expect and to be woken by birdsong was an added extra. The local pubs were about a mile or so down the road with a harbour if you fancy a walk.Athlone town only 10 minutes away if you fancy a more lively night out taxis available. All in all a great find and most definitely would recommend and hope to revisit in the near future.
