The building is new but looks like a colonial building. It is airy with a wonderful peaceful garden and has been decorated with exquisite taste. The rooms are big and equipped with lovely balconies. A swimming pool is being constructed as well. Fresh food can be ordered and tastes amazing. The staff (especially host Arya) is very hospitable. This was one of the warmest welcome we received in Kerala! We also had to opportunity to have several heartfelt conversations with the owners (Joseph and Neethu) who are amazing people. Everyone went the extra mile to accommodate our needs and wishes. In a nutshell: the beauty and quality of a resort but with a home feeling. Highly recommended.

It was an amazing stay. We were at the homestay for 4 nights. Martin and the whole familiy were very friendly and helped us a lot during our stay. As there were no cooking lessons nearby Martin and his wife showed us how to cook the traditional breakfast. You can reach the beach in one minute and Marari Beach is also only a 15 minutes walk away. We got filtered water (also water bottles availabe) and the wlan worked great. We would definitely come again as the value for money is great and it was the best homestay we stayed in India so far.

We originally booked for just one night but were so impressed with the service and atmosphere that we extended our stay by another day. Perfect place to escape busy and crowded city and enjoy quiet village atmosphere. Paradise for birdwatchers. Breakfast was good, and there are two restaurants nearby. I would recommend the nearest one (Lake N Cruise). The food is simple and cheap, and it's a perfect spot to enjoy magic sunsets at 6 pm. It is also easy to reach Kumarakom center and bird sanctuary (tuk-tuk 150 rupees one way). Early morning backwater boat ride for three hours though small canals was something special. And many thanks for sincere hospitality to the hosts, who were super friendly and helpful. Overall 10+!

Food was exceptional - not only the Indian cuisine but the international dishes too. Staff were very friendly and great with our young kids. Everything was very clean including the pool. Gorgeous views. Had spa treatment too which was very relaxing. Kids playground was great for our kids ages (5, 8) as it wasn't too babyish.

Very beautiful place. The family is really welcoming and kind. They organised a boat ride and breakfast for me. Also the view from the balcony is directly on the backwaters where you can see kingfisher and other birds. Very beautiful. The room is very comfortable. Also the dog is super cute and was always ready for a cuddle. Definitely would stay again if i come back
