Such a great stay with Vijeesh and family. Lovely room with AC. Great trips- sunset and sunrise cruises. Also loved the walk we did with Vijeesh around the village. Food was delicious

The accomodation was super cozy and clean. And Anand was the best host! He organized everything perfectly for us - from cheap kayak rental to sunrise boat tours - and he took us to a temple festival and on a bicycle tour around the island - it was simply lovely! And his amazing mum prepared the most delicious food for us (her egg curry was the best!) :) We didn’t feel like customers but friends during our stay, would always come back!

I strongly recommend visiting this island, which offers a much cleaner and more natural experience than the surrounding cities. We had a great time at the accommodation, the owner and his family live in the house next door, you can get delicious homemade food on request. We only spent 3 nights here, but we will definitely come again!

Adil and Goodwin were hosting and they are very friendly and jovial. We have a shared kitchen to cook food, and rental bicycles to roam around the beautiful Munroe island. And also its lakefront view and they have kayaking as well. I've been in the HostelExp Varkala and liked the vibe there and came here and it's worth it. This place is the best place I've stayed in Kerala! It feels like home away from home! That's why I extended my stay twice! I couldn't leave... Everything was perfect! The homestay is beautiful and new, the room is surrounded by trees, the room is very clean and the bed comfortable, the bathroom is modern, the food is delicious with everyday a new speciality, the location is perfect, you can do everything on foot or with the bike they lend to you for free, but more important to me, Anu and her family (her mother in law especially) are the best people ever, the kindest, the nicest, the most welcoming, the most generous, the most helpful, they'll do everything in their power to make you happy! Thanks to them, I enjoyed my stay so much, I felt part of the family, I even celebrated Anu's daughter's birthday like a member of the family! I arrived very early the first day and they invited me at their place and offered me the breakfast and they allowed me to do a laundry. Again, the kindest people... Thank you again !

Everything was perfect. There are two rooms available and a shared kitchen which are all new. Everything is as per the photos. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast available is delicious, as are the dinners cooked by Sujilal’s wife. You can organise all trips through Sujilal, as well as onward travel. This is the perfect place to stay whilst in Munroe Island.

    We were so well looked after by Premchand and his charming family. Their kindness was truly inspiring. Premchand organised boating trips and bicycles for us to explore the wonderful locality and noting was too much trouble. The property is situated in a very peaceful location yet close to the train station, local shops, a great cafe and the waterways. The facilities provide everything that one could need and are spotlessly clean. Breakfast and supper were delicious. I highly recommend staying at this charming homestay.

    We had an amazing stay that I would definitely recommend. Good location in beautiful Munroe Island. The family is so lovely and helpful. They booked a wonderful boat trip for us for a good price and helped us with the trains.The rooms are spotless! Home cooked dinner and breakfast is very tasty.

    Possibly one of the best hostel I have been so far in India. I was in a 6 bed dorm with air condition and the room was very spacious. Toilet was also big and very clean. Very cheap laundry and you can rent bikes to go around or kayaks. The view from the hostel is beautiful and you can observe fisherman nearby every morning. The host can provide with dinner and lunch since around the hostel there is not much. Munroe Island itself is super quiet and very relaxing so if you are looking for many activities this might be not your place.
