All praises for the San Karlu Hotel! It is located almost in the heart of the old town. A small hotel, neat and clean, with beautifully designed and spotless rooms and bathrooms. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. We would recommend it to everyone, and if we return to Malta, we will definitely stay there again.

(This review will be about the Rosselli hotel next door since we got an upgrade from the St John.) Oh my, we had such a great time at the Rosselli. The location is of course great - in the middle of the city center, bus close by, ferries too. The hotel is situated at the end of a busy street (pedestrians only). The room was quite large and luxurious with every amenity you might need. Great beds too. Our highlight was the amazing breakfast. The food was just top notch. Finally, a special shout-out to all the personnel, they really made our stay as pleasant as it could be.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, blending modern comfort with historic charm, making for a truly unique stay. One of the highlights of our visit was the incredible outdoor pool. It's a serene oasis that provided the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The pool area is beautifully designed and maintained, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Malta.     As we arrived some hours prior to property check in time, it was very helpful of the owners to let us leave our suitcases. The location was excellent,ideal for our short city break. Quiet but restaurants and bars close. Very clean, plenty of clean towels, I slept upstairs not the most comfortable bed but clean linen and it was quirky which I enjoy. Bathroom, shower and lovely hot water thumbs up. Kitchen bijou but adequate for the two of us. We enjoyed the view from the window. Would definitely stay there again.

    The location is ideal, very central to everything; just a few minutes walk to Central bus station and Upper Barrakka gardens, very convenient to shopping and restaurants, public transportation, and to the pickup location for tour buses. Our host was responsive and always very helpful. The apartment was on the top floor (no elevator) of a beautifully restored old building, very clean and safe, easy self check-in. I would definitely recommend it and would choose it again.
