We were kindly given a free upgrade by this hotel. It was a comfortable stay with a large living room, two bedrooms, and a really large lanai. The lounge was also in a great location.

Located in the heart of Waikiki, 2 minutes' walk to Waikiki Beach, Halepuna Waikiki is a luxury boutique hotel surrounded by shopping and dining. The property was designed by internationally acclaimed interior design firm, Champalimaud and features works of several Hawaiian artists in partnership with The Honolulu Museum of Art public art program. Excellent location. Very modern and clean hotel with friendly staff located just a few meters from the ocean. We had a room on the 18th floor with a direct ocean view, so we enjoyed watching the sunset over the ocean while sitting on the balcony. We were also able to enjoy live Hawaiian music every night from the sister hotel Halekulani across the street. There is a very good restaurant on site so the food was excellent. There are also really good restaurants in the sister hotel Halekulani and we were able to charge everything to the room from there as well. It was also no problem to extend our stay on the day of check out as our flight was at 9pm. Overall one of the best experiences we had on our travels. Highly recommended.

It’s about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. The popular restaurants are also within a 2-3 mile drive, so it’s a great location! The surrounding neighborhood is very quiet. The overall service and room were very thoughtful. The check-in process was simple and clear, with insect-repelling scents and sprays, a small nightlight in the bathroom, a guestbook by the door, and even face masks available! There’s also a steam iron and regular iron to choose from. We only realized after leaving that there was no TV, which fits perfectly with the bamboo and zen concept.

Set just 11 km from Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park, The Koi House with Pool offers accommodation in Kailua-Kona with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Kealakekua Bay is 18 km away and Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park is 22 km from the homestay. The host greeted us upon our arrival late at night and happily shared about all the exceptional amenities. Beautiful shared space for a short stay with a beautiful ocean view and access to an inviting swimming pool. We did not make the time to enjoy the pool on this visit; next time. The space was well organized with bins to store food items and access to fridge space on a nice outdoor veranda overlooking plush trees and a spectacular view of the ocean. Thank you for a wonderful first stop on the island. Great first impression!

Boasting garden views, Hoomaikai Blessings features accommodation with patio, around 12 km from Lava Tree State Park. A hot tub is available for guests. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. It’s definitely not the standard bed and breakfast. The owner is very attentive to make your stay comfortable and provides all those kind of stuff and treats that can help you feel at home. The house is very clean, even the shared bathroom. You have access to the living room to watch tv or make yourself some tea/coffe or you can rest in the porch. Breakfast is every day a surprise, prepared with fresh ingredients and creativity.

The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

The apartment was spacious , very well equipped and spotlessly clean . The sound of the waves from the nearby seashore was amazing .The location was perfect for visiting the volcano national park and we recommend joining a trip to the summit of Mauna Kea . We would highly recommend choosing to stay here and do go and look at the beautiful sunrise at the point about 2 minutes walk away .

It’s completely off grid and still super cute, cozy, and comfortable with everything we needed. This was the perfect spot to stay while exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend staying here!
