Have stayed at Briscoe lodge before as it is in a fantastic location close to the railway and handy for buses.my room was perfect size for solo traveler and the bed is extremely comfortable.Breakfast was great with choices of cereal, yoghurts, fruit,toast etc Had a fabulous stay and can't wait to book again. It was as described in booking.com & the photos were accurate. The heating was really good & easy to use. The site had plenty on for a child to play and swim and you can see Lake Windermere through the patio doors. Walking is easy along the lake or the woods next to Pony Meadow where the lodge is sited. Towels and bedding were clean and provided.
