Every thing was exellent.The location is greatfull and the garden view is also very creative and beautiful. Very tasty food and very clean rooms and bathroom. I really love Safari . We should specially thank for the host , maika because he helped us in all the activities and he was very friendly. And also the safari driver. The safari was exellent. We enjoyed very well the wild life and we saw lots of kinds of animals,birds, etc... the safari driver is very friendly and cute. And finally every this was very very exellent and i recommend this place for a gratefull and enjoyable stay.

We really enjoyed staying at Wild River Side. Off the main road and set in a beautiful garden with spice trees. We had dinner there and had some of the best Sri Lankan vegetable curries so far on our trip. Owner organised transport from Ella and to Tangalle at a reasonable price as well as the jeep for the safari. The cottage was clean and had warm shower and AC.

The hosts were incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to help us arrange a fantastic safari experience. The room was very clean and comfortable, though the Wi-Fi was not working during our stay. The food on the first night was just okay, but the hosts were quick to adjust the breakfast to our tastes, which we appreciated. Overall, their hospitality made our stay truly memorable.

Best Safari guide ever, Nandu (guide and owner of the property) was very nice and calm. Drove us to a lunch place and took us back so we don't have to walk in the heat. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Owner showed us many different animals that we never seen before, very interesting experience. The dinner family made was delicious also.

Our stay at Udawalawe Elephant Safari Lodge was absolutely amazing. We arrived at night and were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink and a clear plan for the next day. Suru, our host, was incredibly helpful and even carried our bags into the room for us. The rooms are simple but very comfortable—perfect for a short night’s rest before heading out on safari in the morning. At 6 a.m., we started the day with a hot cup of coffee/tea before setting off. Suru’s off-road safari vehicle was very comfortable, and it only took a short drive to reach the entrance of the national park. The safari itself was smooth and unforgettable—we spotted over 10 different species of animals, including three families of elephants! Suru made sure we felt safe the whole time and even took some wonderful photos of us to remember the trip. Back at the lodge, we ended our stay with a refreshing dip in the pool and a truly delicious homemade breakfast (10/10—absolutely to die for!). All in all, I can highly recommend staying at this lodge when visiting Udawalawe National Park. The location is ideal, and the warm hospitality made our visit extra special.

Completely new and very nicely done accommodation! We had plenty of space and privacy. We got amazing breakfast and the safari was really great. The service was the best part, they helped us with everything and take a great care of us.

Excellent in every way. They provide a very comfortable room with a good breakfast for a very small price.I recommend that they give the room at a low price in the hope of running their jeep so get a safari from them and their safari is excellent. The safari guide has a great eagle eyes, he can see hidden animals. I would highly recommended. Thank you Saji for everything. We will definitely come to see you again.

The rooms are simple and clean, set in a lush, green environment close to the safari. The place is absolutely beautiful — right in the middle of the jungle — and what makes it even more special is the kindness of the owners. Madhu gave us a wonderful cooking class; she’s an exceptional chef! The rice and curry were delicious, the Sri Lankan lunch was incredible, and even the safari picnic was perfect. This place is a true delight for the eyes, the heart, and the taste buds.
