Lodges are very new, huge and well furnished. There was a rooftop area where we could head up for a 360 view of the premises. The booking came with dinner at the lodge which was superb. The staff took a lot of care to make sure we were comfortable. Not to mention the cheetahs! The cheetah drive and tour was superb. This is was a highlight of our trip to Namibia and we were sad we could not spend more time there.

We loved the place. We were upgraded to the bushcamp for free, that was a pleasant surprise but I can’t really comment on the plains camp. The activities however were really good. We loved the leopard tracking. Even though the leopards have a radio collar, tracking them is not as easy as I thought and is quite fun. The gamedrive lets you also see many other animals, including springboks, zebras, giraffes, impalas, wartdog, orix, mangoose, birds… Also, the visit to the AfriCat carnivore center was really interesting, we had a feeling they really care for their animals and conservation efforts. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing!

We really loved our stay here. The view is absolutely stunning and the people are really nice. The chef needs a raise so to speak, because dinner was PHENOMENAL! We loved it and she even let me take a picture of her recipe 🥹 We also paid for laundry (we were a bit surprised by the price, but I think it’s due to manual washing it and because of water being a resource). Laundry was done really really well, smelled good and just loved how they took care of our clothes. Thank you all for making our last days in Namibia unforgettable.

We spent only 1 night there on our way back from Etosha. If I had to do it again, I would spend 1 or 2 more nights to enjoy the private reserve a little more. In addition to the wildlife, the views are really nice, red sand, mountains, Waterberg in the distance... Nice breakfast and restaurant in the evening. Staff was really firendly and helpful, as almost everywhere in Namibia, thank you ! The morning game is a must do !

It is amazingly peaceful place with singing birds, walking ostriches and antylopes around. The cottages we stayed are nicely designed and very cosy. All members of the staff are friendly and hospitable, patiently and kindly care about their guests. The food appeals to the senses in a way that makes you want to eat it. It is really delicious and we did not have any of our meals outside.

All cabins in Otjiwarongo

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

This was a good stopover between Windhoek and Etosha. Chalets were basic but spacious and clean. Dinner was excellent looking out from the deck to the open land. The site is visited every evening by a variety of animals including a giraffe. Very good value.

The chalet was superb, much better than expected with a beautifully decorated interior. I especially loved the bathroom tiles with their African theme. The chalet comprises a bedroom, bathroom and a sitting room with a balcony and a view of the bush. All facilities are available in a well appointed room. The food, both for dinner and breakfast, is of a high standard. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It all made for an extremely pleasant stay at the Cheetah Conservation Foundation, a most worthy project.
