Wow, what an amazing location and lovely hosts.
We stayed in the double room which is right on the lake and really enjoyed making use of the terrace area.
The breakfast was lovely, freshly prepared each morning.
Getting to the accommodation was easy using the private boat and the host always left to pick us up as soon as we asked.

The location was amazing, we swam around the island in the mornings. Gustavo collected you within minutes of texting him. I will always remember our breakfasts on the terrace. This isn't luxury accommodation but well worth it for the unique experience.

The room was fantastic, very nice, open, with a view on the lake! It was exactly as it looked on the pictures. A paradise! Everything was also super clean. The houses are located in a nice garden, where we even saw howler monkeys! Sanctus and Alida are super nice and took so good care of us! They also prepare nice meals, with a lot of care. We really felt welcome in Posada del Cerro. Sanctus also arranged a trip to Yaxchá, and a shuttle service to Rio Dulce at the end of our stay. We really loved staying in Posada del Cerro!

The staff were so friendly and helpful, they also helped me booked my transfer shuttle on to Belize. The accommodation was clean, quiet and just minutes from restaurants, bars etc. I would definitely stay here again!

Johana the owner was just the best!! She speaks very good English and was so helpful with giving us tips where to eat and helping us with booking our shuttles. Most helpful person in hospitality we met during our stay in Guatemala. The rooms are very basic but you get a bed and a shower and that’s all you need while also staying very much in low budget.

We booked a private cabin for the two of us and loved it. It was comfortable, clean and a really cool “waking up in the jungle”-experience. We could hear the monkeys in the morning and watch black squirrels climb around. The girls from the reception/restaurant were always there for questions and the food was very good… we would always come back. Also the beautiful lake is really just a few meters away with a wooden Pier, where you can chill and swim.
