I loved the open air hut and the personal fan made sure I didn't get hot. The showers were cool and refreshing after a long day surfing in the sun. The staff were the absolute nicest ever. I asked my daughter if she'd have rather stayed at the big million dollar property in the beach front and she said "no way, the vibe and staff at Casa Austera is the best in Guatemala"

Activities in the surrounding area include snorkelling. we had an amazing time the rooms were fabulous and the staff were so so friendly it was like a family they all remembered our names and couldn’t do enough for us the barman security guards and maids were probably the best staff at an hotel we have ever had and we travel a lot we loved we had our own sun terrace and we were opposite the wonderful pool and bar where the cocktails were amazing you could get lunch there also as said barman was really friendly and helpful it is only a short walk along the path to the village but very quiet in the evening for a good nights sleep in a wonderful clean room the private part of the beach was good with nice beds and hammocks we couldn’t use the sea because of the big problem of sea grass but it like that every where we would definitely stay here again
