Great welcome, host was super nice. The houses are completely made of wood and there is a smell of wood inside. Very cozy and well equipped. Big comfortable bed. located in a quiet location, although close to infrastructure.

Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and parking outside of rooms is offered as well. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our time at Backwoods Lodge! The owners were exceptional and the room definitely offered the best value. We look forward to staying here again sometime!

The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. A fridge, a microwave and stovetop are also available in the kitchen, as well as a coffee machine. Staff met us and was helpful in directing us to local trail at Chilkat State Park (a must!). Everything else was as excellent. We had a spectacular view of the fjord from our deck…it was a dream to be there.

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is 192 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. We loved our one night stay in Talkeetna and our room in the lodge was cosy and comfortable. It’s such a pretty location, by the river and at this time of year, the autumn trees are wonderful. Just a short drive into town and we’d recommend the Denali Brewpub for dinner and the Conscious Coffee (no food but great coffee and vibe).

Located 13 miles south of the Denali National Park entrance on Carlo Creek, these cabins feature views of the surrounding forests and mountains. An on-site café serves all homemade food.

Rooms at McKinley Creekside Cabins are all equipped with wood furnishings and a private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi and an in-room coffee maker are included. Some rooms also contain a microwave and a refrigerator. The 2-bedroom chalet is equipped with a living room with a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and 1 bathroom with a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are provided in the chalet. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. I truly had the most wonderful stay at this little cabin which, is surrounded by the natural scenic beauty of North Palmer. Michael and Darcy were kind and welcoming hosts. The cabin has been a project that has been meticulously hand-crafted from love and has everything you need for a comfortable stay❤️ I especially loved the upstairs loft bedroom which, looks out to Birch woods at the back of the property and is such a cozy little space to rest for the night. The property is also, in a convenient location which, gives easy access (within a 20 minute drive) to areas of scenic wilderness and natural hiking opportunities like, Hatchers Pass as well as, an array of local amenities/shops in Palmer and other points of interest including, the little Musk Ox Farm which, I visited during my stay. My only regret is, I was not there for long enough to explore properly and will definitely book a longer stay next time😊

The villa is composed of 1 bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and 1 bathroom. A flat-screen TV is offered. The accommodation is non-smoking. Everything was available to you from toiletries to coffee and creamer. There was nothing lacking, everything was clean, comfortable and perfectly cozy.
