After that, we had a personal tour around the property and then were shown our wonderful chalet. The deck is large and has a fabulous view of the canyon forest. The bed is comfortable. The bathing area is AMAZING. The restaurant staff is excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The food is great! We already have it in mind for our next visit to the Storms River area!

We stayed at the Die Waenhuis cottage in the middle of the village. Inside is original, artistic and extremely well appointed. Lovely, lush veranda and garden. We could use the splash pool at the Furrows. Althea and Aubrie were great hosts. We will definitely come again.

It was really spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The owner, Noel, is really friendly and welcoming. The view from our cabin was gorgeous. The kitchen was fully stocked with good quality appliances and cooking utensils. Each bedroom had it's own large bathroom. There is a very nice coastal hiking path on the farm. We felt so at home during our stay at Anglers Paradise that we were sad to leave. We will definitely be staying there again.

The two hosts made us feel like old family members from far away from the first moment on. The tents are wonderful and sitting on the terrace watching the wild giraffes and other wildlife was hands down under the top 5 travel experiences we experienced in our lifes. I highly recommend going there also with children and to show them the wildlife of SA with a huge variety of animals. The Braai in the evening is another highlight featuring the best products like organic butter or meat. Do yourself a favor and don’t rush it. We stayed for 4 nights and could easily have stayed longer as you really experience the pleasure of a spot where time stands still. Thank you for having us. We will for sure come back ❤️

Situated in the Amakhala Game Reserve, Leeuwenbosch Shearers Lodge offers country-style accommodation and boasts an outdoor pool and terrace. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site. The whole team were amazing and it felt like one big family- nothing was too much!! The rangers were very knowledgeable, and communicated expertly with one another to ensure you had the best chance of sightings. The reserve has grown significantly since my last visit 14years ago and remains as beautiful as I remembered. The rooms were super comfy, with huge beds and modernised bathrooms. The pool area was lovely, overlooking the reserve with frequent wildlife visitors, making for a great refreshing dip between game drives. The food was delicious! We couldn’t fault it and can’t wait to come back.
