The family running the hotel were incredibly friendly, more than accompany and helpful. The beds were insanely comfortable and duvets were so cosy!! The breakfast was also great and all the different egg requests were provided for, and more 👌 The location is also the perfect distance to the main city.

The hotel was great our family room was massive, very comfortable and clean with amazing views of the mountains. The staff were so friendly and helpful on the front desk, in the restaurant and at the bar. The spa and pool facilities were great and the kids loved the pool and so nice that it is still warm when outside in the cold.

A beautiful, rural area ten minutes by car from Old Town Salzburg. The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. Nice small hotel in Austrian village, with excellent breakfast, car parking ,clean room but a bit old facilities. However, excellent destination by bus to the center of Salzburg. The bus station is near the hotel and it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the center. The 24 hours tickets is possible to buy at reception. Absolutely recommended.

The location of the hotel is amazing with a great view of Salzburg, near the forest for strolls during the day. A picturesque location to relax. The hotel has beautiful decor with meaningful history and the rooms are spacious and clean. It was like being part of the sound of music! We will certainly come back!

My wife and I stayed one night. The room is large, clean with spacious bathroom. Hotel is in a fairly quiet location and has free parking. The breakfast was excellent for a three star hotel.
