Location is directly on the lift and the hotel can be accessed directly from the slopes. Very central and walking distance to the center and very good restaurants. Amazing hosts, very heartfelt and attentive. Excellent team, excellent breakfast, very nice and comfortable rooms.

We had an issue with our motorbike and needed help communicating in German with the key service, as we couldn’t unlock the disc lock. The staff was extremely helpful and showed great determination in assisting us. They didn’t give up even after several attempts and made sure we were taken care of. I would especially like to give credit to the girls at the reception, whose kindness and persistence made a stressful situation much easier. Because of this experience, we will definitely be coming back in the future.

Clean & spacious. Friendly staff, very accommodating and willing to help with all our request. Easy check-in and check-out. Staff offered room upgraded and early check-in. Free coffee from coffee machine at reception. Hotel provide the card that allow us to access many attractions for free. Room is very clean and plenty of space. Comfy bed. Well-equipped kitchen. The location was amazing with truly ski on and ski out...and great even for non-skiers with access to 3 gondalas. The lockers even had boot heaters! The room was perfect for families and the food and staff were exceptional! Every night...the food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Having a massage, pool, sauna on site was great and made our vacation easy and perfect... especially for the price!

This is the easiest 10 I have ever given. We stayed at Villa B and it was flawless (trust me I am a picky person) We were amazed from the moment we entered the villa. It is way better, cosier, and fancier than the photos. Everything was spotless and felt brand new. Furniture and appliances are of high quality, and it's extremely obvious how much attention and care the host has put into this house, not just as a summer rental, but as a proper home. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive. They even provided a big printed guide with everything you need to know about the accommodation, as well as attractions and restaurants in Zell am See. The view from the villa was terrific, you can see the lake and green mountains from all directions. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need, making it feel like home. All equipment and utensils were spotless. Beds and pillows were super comfy, and the excellent sound isolation made us sleep like babies. The main bathroom had a big bathtub, a rainfall shower, and a double sink, giving it a luxurious feel. The other bedroom also had an electric sauna, which was a nice touch. I strongly recommend this villa, it’s definitely the best value for money you can find. Whenever I come back to Zell am See, this is where I’ll stay.

Mountain Paradise in Salzburg Province

A paradise in the Austrian state of Salzburg, Zell am See is located along the shores of the Zell Lake and surrounded by mountains like the 2000-metre high Schmittenhöhe. It is an important ski centre in the winter and a hiking and mountain-biking paradise during summer.

The area has been occupied since Roman times, but the village was founded around the year 740 by the order of Bishop Johannes I of Salzburg. The picturesque Old Town includes typical Alpine style buildings, as well as the oldest building of the region, St. Hippolyte's Church. The Austrian area of Zell am See offers a wide range of hotels, B&B’s, apartments, and guest houses.

    Great location and view of the lake, but wished we had booked a room with a balcony and view. Room and facilities were very clean. A bit impersonal as there was no staff in the evening but overall great stay.

    An excellent place to visit. Beautiful scenery.

    An excellent place to visit. Beautiful scenery. Loads to see and do. Lovely food. Would advise when booking accommodation that you book somewhere that includes the summer card as this gives you free access to all the gondolas in the area and free travel on local buses and trains plus discounted entry to many activities and saves you a lot of money.

    You can see a lot of facilities with the summer card. A lot to do for families ( hiking, cycling, rafting, bathing, swimming, sightseeing,visiting museums ). The food and drinks in restaurants are expensive, so it’s better to have food included in the hotel price or buy it in the store.

    It's the right midpoint between the regions of Leogang and...

    It's the right midpoint between the regions of Leogang and Saalbach-Hinterglemm, if you are into mountain biking, and the Grosser Donnerkogel, if you are into via ferratas. Being in Zell am See gave us the possibility to do multiple things withing a 1h driving radius.

    Zell am See is rightly popular because it is uperbly located on the most beautiful lake, with mountain scenery that changes with the light throughout the day. it is also makes an excellent centre for touring. special mention must be made of the Kaprun Glacier and the Kaprun Reservoir. Simply unmissable.

    Views of the lake with the best mountain backgrounds are from the other end of the lake - the most northerly. We didn't do it, but it looks like a good place to hire bikes or electric bikes to see more of the lakeside.

    The owners and everyone who worked at the Hotel Landhaus were super friendly and hospitable. We arrived early and were immediately welcomed with a cup of coffee. The room wasn’t ready yet but they gave us a room to get dressed and made sure our bags were in our room after we arrived from the apres ski. Besides that was the food good, a nice Austrian breakfast. And a warm welcome every morning when you walked in. Would definitely recommend the hotel and go back.

    An old but cosy hotel in the middle of Zell am See. The bunk bed for the kids looked nice and was very comfy. The mattresses in other beds were very good. The room was very clean, breakfast very good. The hotel is located within walking distance to the City Express ski lift.

    One of the most comfortable hotels I’ve ever stayed at - the food was delicious, service incredible and the spa had so many different facilities that suits everyone. We really had the best experience at Salzburgerhof, will definitely be back next time in Zell am see.
