Location is directly on the lift and the hotel can be accessed directly from the slopes. Very central and walking distance to the center and very good restaurants. Amazing hosts, very heartfelt and attentive. Excellent team, excellent breakfast, very nice and comfortable rooms.

We had an issue with our motorbike and needed help communicating in German with the key service, as we couldn’t unlock the disc lock. The staff was extremely helpful and showed great determination in assisting us. They didn’t give up even after several attempts and made sure we were taken care of. I would especially like to give credit to the girls at the reception, whose kindness and persistence made a stressful situation much easier. Because of this experience, we will definitely be coming back in the future.

The location was great. It was an easy walk from the train station and close to the lake and restaurants. We loved the trails at the top of the Schmittenhohe. It was a lovely area. The breakfast was great. The staff was very helpful.

The location was amazing with truly ski on and ski out...and great even for non-skiers with access to 3 gondalas. The lockers even had boot heaters! The room was perfect for families and the food and staff were exceptional! Every night...the food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Having a massage, pool, sauna on site was great and made our vacation easy and perfect... especially for the price!

Mountain Paradise in Salzburg Province

A paradise in the Austrian state of Salzburg, Zell am See is located along the shores of the Zell Lake and surrounded by mountains like the 2000-metre high Schmittenhöhe. It is an important ski centre in the winter and a hiking and mountain-biking paradise during summer.

The area has been occupied since Roman times, but the village was founded around the year 740 by the order of Bishop Johannes I of Salzburg. Would advise when booking accommodation that you book somewhere that includes the summer card as this gives you free access to all the gondolas in the area and free travel on local buses and trains plus discounted entry to many activities and saves you a lot of money.

    You can see a lot of facilities with the summer card. A lot to do for families ( hiking, cycling, rafting, bathing, swimming, sightseeing,visiting museums ). The food and drinks in restaurants are expensive, so it’s better to have food included in the hotel price or buy it in the store.

    It's the right midpoint between the regions of Leogang and...

    It's the right midpoint between the regions of Leogang and Saalbach-Hinterglemm, if you are into mountain biking, and the Grosser Donnerkogel, if you are into via ferratas. Being in Zell am See gave us the possibility to do multiple things withing a 1h driving radius.

    Zell am See is rightly popular because it is uperbly located on the most beautiful lake, with mountain scenery that changes with the light throughout the day. it is also makes an excellent centre for touring. special mention must be made of the Kaprun Glacier and the Kaprun Reservoir. Simply unmissable.

    Views of the lake with the best mountain backgrounds are from the other end of the lake - the most northerly. We didn't do it, but it looks like a good place to hire bikes or electric bikes to see more of the lakeside.

    Zell am See is a beautiful place and we have stayed there many times over 40 years. We were unaware that the week we chose this trip was a mid season break and nearly all facilities and services in the town were closed. It was like a ghost town, with limited amenities and very few visitors. WHY WERE WE NOT TOLD THIS BY THE HOTEL WHEN WE BOOKED!!!!!!

    Great location, close to the lake, the center and the cable cars. The room with a view of the courtyard was large, quiet, without air conditioning (so quite hot), the mattress was very uncomfortable, the equipment was older, but functional and clean. Breakfast OK + outdoor seating available. Good restaurant with outdoor seating and grill. Great wellness on the roof of the hotel! Hot tub, sauna, mountain view. We got a guest card which gave us free cable cars and a steamboat ride on the lake. We did not have time to use the other discounts.

    -Great location with fantastic Lake View. -Spacious apartment with 3 bed rooms and large dining with large balcony. -Easy check in. -Every things are there in the flat (kitchen,washing machine) -Clean flat with new furniture. -Free parking. -Super Friendly staff -Special thanks to Layla,Catherine and Cathy. -They hold 300€ from the credit card as guaranteet, and they return it back next day. If I visit Zell Am See again of course I will book this hotel apartments again.

    We were in Zell Am See for the Ironman 70.3, the location was perfect as the finish line was just a few minutes walk away, as was the railway station. The staff were very helpful and friendly both in the hotel and La Locanda restaurant which is attached to the hotel.

    The hotel is located in the middle of Zell am See. It was very easy to rent a ski nearby and visit Kaprun. We left our car at a parking lot located just behind Bernsteins bar for around 15EUR/night.
