Water Heat running Hot then Cold made showering a bad experience Also it had a shower over Bath and when we conplained about the water we were told we should not use the Bath as it was not intended for use as thet wanted to remove it but it was too expensive to do so. A good stopping point on a trip along the Great Ocean Road. Not as expensive, pretentious or busy in winter as Lorne is. Great fish and chips at the Fishman's Co-op., which was not too busy in winter but would be very hectic in summer of holiday periods. Apollo Bay in the winter is quieter, which is lovely. Lots to do and see nearby. Like anywhere on the Great Ocean Road, it is busy, lots of tourists and expensive, which make it unbearable in the summer. It has the best of everything - beautiful coastline, views, rolling hills, and forest. Like all good coastal town, it is growing up and becoming developed which definitely spoils the charm it held 50 years ago, but such is life.Guest review bySarahAustralia - 10.0

Lovely place to stop along The Great Ocean Road. All of the essentials are within walking distance with interesting shops and a great choice of places to eat as well as 2 supermarkets. Expansive views of the ocean and nestled into the hillside. Quiet. Comfortable, modest-sized rooms with everything you’d expect in way of motel facilities. A very comfortable bed. The sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep and gently wake you in the morning. We stayed in a sea view room and had incredible views of the sunrise over the ocean. Magic! The house was an older style beach house, nothing flash, but full of nostalgia for us (70 year olds). Polished wood floors and other features just like an old family beach house at Torquay.
