Everything perfect, from the smooth process to the comfortable parking to the very good location, very good to watch the sunrise (I did not, I woke up a bit later, but it's very clear to see it from the balcony). The Stables Cottage was in the perfect location in Bicheno. The cottage itself was large, well laid-out and spacious. The cottage is surrounded by a well-manicured lawn with many beautiful flowers. Postcard beautiful! Due to high winds on the second day of our stay, the internet went out. I contacted the manager, Sue, who immediately contacted me with the steps to get the internet back online. Loved the service.

We visited the Devils in the Dark show. Brilliant!

We visited the Devils in the Dark show. Brilliant! Viewing feeding the Tasmanian Devils over wine and cheese. Great dinner at Sealife Restaurant and Cafe. Comfortable stay at Bicheno on the Bay. Penguin chick under our deck was noisy but so exciting to see. Blowhole and beaches are stunning.

Bicheno was a great base to explore the area.

Bicheno was a great base to explore the area. We were sad we did not see any penguins. We had take away fish and chips at Tasmanian Coastal Seafoods which was beautifully cooked and delicious! We also had dinner at Le Coq and wow, was the most amazing piece of steak that melted in your mouth.

Stayed at Beachfront which was great value for money,...

Stayed at Beachfront which was great value for money, central location, within walking distance to most attractions. We ate at Food & Brew for lunch & the iconic Lobster Shack for dinner, with some afternoon beers at the newly opened Bicheno Beer Co cellar door. The blowhole is a short walk or easily accessible by a short car drive. Beautiful seaside town with lots to offer, definitely recommend staying a night or two.

Coastal walks were superb. We could see the lookout on the hill but had great difficulty in finding information about it & easy access - a wasted opportunity for new visitors to the area as once up there the views were fabulous.

I must admit that when I saw the property I was very disappointed .advertised as a lake view on the bay,It was a mediocre motel at best and the lake was a dirty children’s play pool really but dirty and I would never have let any children of mine anyway near it.

Bicheno was very enjoyable and a great location to stay a few nights and enjoy the surrounds. Well located to do day trips north or south along the east coast. Enjoyed the Penguin Tour. Very scenic location.

We arrived early but were happy that the room was ready. The property was a small but adequate self contained unit on the owners property. It had its own access with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Whilst the only cooking facilities were toaster and microwave this was all you needed. The Bicheno blowhole was at the end of the street. All in all we had a most enjoyable stay.

This is an old style motel across the road from the beach and east walk to town. Heated outdoor pool ( in middle of winter) which my kids enjoyed. Pub next door for food was handy. 3 beds in room was handy for my family. Bathroom Was fine. Friendly staff.
