The resort was amazing and added bonus getting emus and roos to watch within the grounds. The pool was lovely and having access to a spot of tennis. The BBQs were in good clean Working order. Room was lovely and spacious with all utensils needed.

There was a major bushfire on the morning of our check-in day, cutting off the road and making it absolutely impossible for us to reach the hotel. This was a natural disaster—completely beyond our control. Despite this, the host showed no understanding or flexibility, insisting that we should still somehow make it to the hotel, which was simply not possible under such dangerous conditions. As international travelers, we were extremely disappointed by the lack of empathy and support. We did not even ask for a full refund—only a partial one—but even that was flatly rejected. The booking platform tried its best to help mediate, but the hotel offered no active response or solution. Rules are made for people, not the other way around. In times of crisis like this, a little understanding goes a long way. Sadly, we received none

    There was a large range of activities: visiting the national park for the skywalk, Nature's Window and the Z bend, viewing the wildflowers, particularly in the national park, the cliff walks, paddling and swimming at the beaches, activities at the estuary-boats and canoes to hire, the cruises, patronising the cafes and restaurants.... The only hindrance was the wind which tended to pick up from the midmorning, but this is to be expected in October.

    Breathtaking views both along the coastal look outs and inland in the National Park. Magnificent place! Weather was pleasant in October to explore nature (very windy when we were there max. of 25 degrees - not warm enough for a swim, otherwise perfect to explore even inland up to midday).

    We will be back!!!

    We will be back!!! Fantastic vacation with our kids, TONS to do for any type of vacation from family to couple to single personb and good have a different vacation each time. Hiking was so much fun and the whale watching tour was phenomenal! So many gorgeous photoshoot locations. Nature's window, Red bluff look out and hike down to beach, hire your own boats, loads of cafes, great pizza!

    we was happy with the wildflower tour and the river cruise and the sunset cruise recommend these to anyone fish and chips from the jetty seafood shack and the Golden Wok. very easy to get around and see all the sights I also did the parkrun which was great . did a lot of walking around the sights

    Be prepared to do more driving after your long drive up from Perth, it is worth it. The views are stunning and walk past natures window provides stunning views. The beach is great for dipping your feet and swimming. Great fishing spots all around for fishos of all levels of experience. IGA covers food needs and multiple restaurants. Many trails leading to great bluffs like red bluff. It's a long drive, but worth it for unique and stunning scenery that will stay with you forever.

    Kalbarri is just beautiful.

    Kalbarri is just beautiful. It was our first time and we didn't want to leave. We are definitely coming back. Small coastal town, not too busy. The National park is amazing, such variety of landscapes like red cliffs, wildflowers, shallow beaches, ocean and river. So many things to do like kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, hiking, fishing. Perfect spot for holidays with children.

    We had a lovely stay at Gecko Lodge. San and her husband are very welcoming hosts and the breakfasts are delicious!!! Gecko Lodge is in a quiet location, yet an easy walk into the township. Great place to stay when you are visiting Kalbarri National Park. The penthouse suite was amazing, and the port and chocolates were a lovely surprise. We highly recommend staying here!

    We really liked the hotel - the room was big, with a proper kitchen, which was a surprise. But the best thing were all the animals outside - from different parrots to kangaroos - our baby loved them. You can park directly in front of the room which is handy.

    The apartment is lovely and well equipped. It is not adjacent to the swimming pool, which for us was a bonus. The pool is great to swim in early morning or late afternoon. Well situated for rest of Kalbarri and visiting the National Park.
