We stayed here previously almost 30 years ago. It is still as good as it was then. It was comfortable. There are plenty of eateries nearby.

Home and Hound is hands down the best place we've stayed in Western Australia! We absolutely loved our experience there and would choose it again without hesitation. Even though we only stayed for one night, it had everything we needed. The cleanliness and upkeep were impeccable. We wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely return for a longer stay next time. It gets the highest rating from us because we were truly impressed and delighted with our stay!

Lovely, spacious (especially for two) old house nicely renovated and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for a self contained stay. Also there was a nice garden and outdoor eating area which would be especially nice in summer. Walking distance to the shops and fish and chip shop, but still relatively quiet.

Tranquil farm setting with secure yards and off leash areas for dogs. Million dollar views of the Stirling Range, stunning sunsets and starry night skies. Kendenup is 15 minutes from Mount Barker and in easy reach of the Stirling Range, the Porongorups, Albany and Denmark. For wine lovers, Galafrey and Plantagenet are a ‘must visit’ and Mount Barker has the largest and best stocked IGA I have ever seen! Breakfast at the Porongorup Inn is a must. Scott and co are just so warm and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely mini break, Kylie. We will be back soon.

Such a lovely spot and easy to get to other places like the stirling ranges for all of the walks and hikes. Easy to get around if you have car or bike. The cost of a taxi from Mount Barker to Kendenup was pricey. The township of Mount Barker has everything you need and is close and easy to get too. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful.

location was peaceful but wouldn't go back. no where to buy any food, said there was a restaurant on sight but didn't mention it was only open on the weekend, so had to travel a distance for dinner.
