Clean room. Solid building with thick walls that blocked the sound of neighbour sleeping with the TV on. Tea-making facilities and good WiFi.

    Lithgow is very under rated.

Lithgow is very under rated. There are many things to do and some of the lookouts have fantastic views. Just do your homework before you get there and get the large tourist map which highlights all the things you can see - it is fantastic.

I love the Blue Mountains and I love Lithgow.

I love the Blue Mountains and I love Lithgow. As a regional town it is easy to get around and access things like the bank the railway station the supermarkets and sporting facilities like the modern indoor pool. As we visited in winter we experienced winter weather and while we could not see the three sisters on this occasion due to fog I know we will see them another visit. My significant other rated his three cups of coffee highly first at the sports/soccer field second at the shopping centre and third at the Fast Fox takeaway. I loved the second hand book store too.

A great location to use as a base to explore the wider region. Many historical sites and buildings made this a great trip for history enthusiasts. Local food was excellent. Will come again and spend longer exploring family history.

I liked the cool climate the most, and lack of crowds and traffic jams. The scenery was great. The location is a long way from Sydney though and not readily accessible. The Main Street shopping strip could do with rejuvenation (which I think the Council is planning).

The hotel itself is OK - good for the price. It is close to the centre of town with clean rooms and nice beds. Because of its location it is very noisy at night with pub patrons, trains passing by very close, trucks using their compression brakes as they pass through town on their business delivering goods, and, hoons tearing up the main street with their loud mufflers. Weekdays are busier than weekends. Take some earplugs and an eye mask and you will be fine.

Lithgow is cold at the end of May. As soon as we walked into the foyer we were greeted by a warm smile and an even warmer reception area. Our room was already heated when we walked in, good sized room and bathroom, big fluffy towels and a shower with heaps of pressure. We had a 2 night stay and if we’re ever back this way will definitely be a repeat visitor. Highly recommend.
