We were traveling with 3 dogs, one still a puppy. Hazel was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early which was great after our drive from Devonport. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with some nice touches, such as cheese platter in the fridge, and snacks. The property was well fenced which made us feel comfortable letting the dogs enjoy exploring the acre property. I would recommend this property to people traveling with pets.

Everything was wonderful. The views were incredible, it was immaculate, new, & extremely comfortable. We ate breakfast watching three wallabies infront of our house. We were visited in the carpark by goats, wallabies & even a little possum in the evening. We saw more wildlife in their natural environment than anywhere else in Tasmania.

The apartment was superbly appointed, large and very modern, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the wifi was spotty but we managed since we arrived late and left early to catch a flight. The location is good for the airport and Seven Mile Beach, however, a drive to restaurants and downtown Hobart. For us, a very enjoyable stay.

Plenty of space, very clean and views were AMAZING !!! Loved the wildlife around and come to the door ❤️ also Netflix! Not that we had time to watch it. Loved everything about this property!

About 20 minutes from Hobart Airport, the Kangaroo House of Mount Rumney Escapes is a secluded wonderful hideout with a lovely view of Hobart. We like the comfy beds, the complete kitchen, the very clean bathroom, and the wallabies and echidna immediately outside. The very kind host was reachable even late at night.

Sandford is a locality and not a town .

Sandford is a locality and not a town . The nearest village is Lauderdale . The area down the peninsular to Opossum Bay is lovely with wide bays, national parks and reserves, some rugged beaches and less rugged beaches at Opossum bay . . It is an easy drive from airport because you can avoid Hobart itself. Roads are good bitumen country roads .

Hazel is a fantastic host and provided all sorts of extra...

Hazel is a fantastic host and provided all sorts of extra items like bread to toast for breakfast plus butter and jam. This is a ideal place to relax and recover from extensive travels as it is very private and quiet while being close to Hobart Airport and around thirty minutes from the center of Hobart. Yes you will need to have a rental car but what better way to travel around Tasmania.
