We arrived on a Sunday and the taxi dropped us out of town...
We arrived on a Sunday and the taxi dropped us out of town as traffic is restricted on a Sunday jeez indded! It took 30 minutes to trundle our suitcases to the hotel. So, after that initial mishap and feeling like we were in the Truman Show, we thawed and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days in the city. Lovely people, restaurants and bars. The medieval buildings were beautiful and everywhere was so clean. There were lots of restaurants with excellent food and good service. It was easy to get around walking and with our hired car. Leuven is a University City and has so much history.
Leuven is a University City and has so much history. They were celebrating 600 years of University while I was there. The town hall figurines are so interesting and so is the architecture of most of the buildings. It's easy to get around and so much to see.Guest review byGayAustralia - 8.0

I stay in Leuven for work regularly, but it never gets...
I stay in Leuven for work regularly, but it never gets boring. there are so many nice restaurants and shops in the center . The old buildings like the city hall are a marvel in their own right. Easy access via train or by car, plenty of parking, sometimes even free outside the city ring with free shuttle buses. Definitely worth a visit, get a belgium pint on the central market square and just admire the view!!Guest review byFransNetherlands
