    Port Renfrew is a charming little fishing village on the west coast. I’ve visited twice now and absolutely love its character and natural beauty. That said, it’s important for visitors to know that amenities are limited—stores and restaurants close early, so planning ahead is essential. What I enjoy most is the quiet simplicity of the area, but if you’re looking for a destination full of conveniences and entertainment, this may not be the place for you. On the other hand, I can see a small bike or scooter rental shop doing very well here—it would be a wonderful addition to the village.

    Port Renfrew is really Wild.

    Port Renfrew is really Wild. You feel like you are at the end of the earth.. which you are. There is no going father in BC on this road. They are a close knit community and watch out for each other.. which is good and 'a little too much'. Not quite as friendly as other Vancouver Island towns but it sure is isolated... Be prepared for looooooong winding Roads, cold weather and rain. Some good eats but nothing on the water. Worth a visit and I do admire the people who live there! Thank you PR for the stay!

    Port Renfrew and surroundings are absolutely amazing.

    Port Renfrew and surroundings are absolutely amazing. Close proximity to Botanical Beach, Botany Bay, Sombrio Beach, Fairy & Lizard Lakes, Avator Grove, and Big Lonely Doug. It's also the starting off point for the West Coast Trail and Juan de Fuca Trail. Port Renfrew has fabulous coffee shops and the Port Renfrew Pub is not to be missed.

    It was an ideal stop - we could have stayed another day but...

    It was an ideal stop - we could have stayed another day but our itinerary was calling. The cafe opposite the Hiker Hut was great in the morning for a coffee and we ate at Bridgeman's on the waterfront - a fabulous view. We were driving but a v popular spot for hikers for the start and end of the trail. Botanical Beach and Botany Bay a must visit

    great place to explore the many beaches, fish, get out on the water , etc - all about the outdoor adventure. Key to bring your food, etc. with you as no place to buy much - a few ok to good places to eat , but restricted hours. Great place to bring your dog on vacation - walks from the trail head to many ( but not all ) the beach were long, so not great for young kids

    It is a small quaint area.

    It is a small quaint area. Don't expect the amenities of a city. They have one little store that has food, snacks and alcohol but selection is limited. Some of the services were not open due to the time of year. The beaches are remarkable and well looked after.

    Property was great! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need. Loved the patio set up and how it was fully enclosed. The fire pit, bbq area were all great. Hot tub was amazing, loved the twinkle lights and a great view of the water. The hosts are extremely organized, very communicative. Would definitely stay here again if heading to Port Renfrew.

    A perfect stay in Port Renfrew! The Hiker Huts was exactly what I was looking for -- a cozy and clean room for a good price. I spent most of the day hiking, so it was a great place to come back to rest and sleep. The staff in the main building were very responsive and provided great recommendations for my stay. The location is excellent too and near to the PR pub.

    The cabins exceeded expectations and we ended up having the sauna to ourselves for the weekend. Nice to find a dog-friendly place at a very reasonable cost so close to the Easter long weekend. The location is perfect for a weekend of exploring around the Port Renfrew area :) thank you!

    A great, basic hotel in a beautiful spot. The room was very clean and the kitchenette was good. Check in was a cinch with the information provided in advance. Yes, it's very dark outside but that's part of being in Port Renfrew. The pub is a 3 minute walk and has great food.

    It was a housekeeping cottage with a good kitchen so we made our own breakfasts. The view from the outside deck was great, overlooking the bay at Port Renfrew.
